BidsScores helps you evaluate competing contractor bids and produces a recommendation and report. It is a decision-support tool — it informs your decision, it does not make it. You remain responsible for the final award.

1. Not professional advice

BidsScores is software. It is not a licensed general contractor, engineer, architect, public adjuster, insurance carrier, attorney, or accountant, and nothing it produces is construction, engineering, insurance, legal, tax, or financial advice. Scores, rankings, flags, cost normalizations, and recommendations are informational only. For any matter that requires a licensed professional, consult one.

2. You make the decision

The recommendation BidsScores generates is advisory. It is one input into your procurement process — not a substitute for your own judgment, your organization's policies, or the review of ownership, a board, or counsel. You are solely responsible for selecting a contractor, awarding work, and the outcome of that decision. BidsScores does not select, endorse, guarantee, vet, or vouch for any contractor.

3. How scoring works — and its limits

BidsScores compares bids by estimating what each would cost if it covered the full scope of work ("normalization") and applies weighted scoring dimensions to produce a 0–100 composite and an A–D tier. These are estimates and models, not appraisals, guaranteed prices, or statements of fact. Results depend heavily on the completeness and accuracy of the documents you upload. Garbage in, garbage out: an incomplete, altered, or illegible bid can produce a misleading score.

4. Automated and AI-generated content

BidsScores uses automated document parsing and artificial intelligence to read bids and draft text such as summaries, flags, and clarification emails. AI can misread, omit, or misinterpret information and can produce output that is inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify AI-generated content and figures against the original bid documents before relying on or sending anything.

5. No guarantee of outcomes

BidsScores does not guarantee that a recommended bid will be the lowest final cost, that a project will stay on budget or on schedule, that a contractor will perform, that a claim or supplement will be approved, or any particular result. Cost overruns, change orders, and disputes can occur for reasons outside any bid document.

6. No affiliation with third parties

BidsScores is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Verisk, Xactimate, Symbility, any insurance carrier, or any contractor. Product and company names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility or source documents.

7. Your responsibility for uploads

You are responsible for having the right to upload the bids and documents you submit and for the accuracy of any figures you enter (such as an approved budget or carrier settlement). Do not upload documents you are not authorized to share.

8. Beta software

BidsScores may be offered as a beta or preview. Features may change, and results may contain errors. Treat beta output as provisional and verify before acting on it.
